Year 2 E-rate Denial Letters
Message Posted May 16, 2001

** Attn: Schools and Libraries Denied Year 2 Out of Window Funding for PEPPM Purchases **
As you know, two weeks ago I sent out a message about Year 2 Out of the Window E-rate Funding. While many PA applicants received APPROVAL letters, we have heard that there are several schools and libraries that received denial letters if they used the PEPPM contract.
If you received a denial letter for this reason, or if you receive such a letter in future waves, please contact me ASAP. I have drafted an appeal letter for you to cut and paste onto your letterhead. I can't guarantee it will be approved, but there is a good chance.
Please note: If you received a denial letter, it was dated April 27, which means that your appeal letter must be RECEIVED at the SLD by May 26. And because that's on a weekend, you will need to have it received by Friday, May 25.
ETC...
What's the status of additional Year 2 OOW waves? There is likely to be another 2-3 waves, but we haven't heard when the next one is due to be mailed.
What's the status of Year 4 funding commitment letters? Letters likely won't be mailed for another 3-4 weeks.
